The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor ( GEM ) UK report is being launched alongside the GEM Northern Ireland report at a special event hosted by Belfast City Council in conjunction with Aston University, Queen\u2019s University and Ulster University \u00a0at The Innovation Factory in Belfast today, June 29th\u00a0 2023.<\/p>\n

GEM is the world\u2019s largest survey of entrepreneurship and is the only global research source that collects data on entrepreneurship directly from individual entrepreneurs. It measures various rates of entrepreneurship in 49 countries in 2022.<\/p>\n

The latest Global Entrepreneurship (GEM) UK report, in partnership with NatWest, based on a sample of just over 10,000 individuals, found that almost one in three working age individuals were either engaged in entrepreneurial activity or intended to start a business within the next three years.<\/p>\n
