Research and Partnership Manager, Development Bank of Wales

Sian is Research and Partnership Manager at the Development Bank of Wales and leads on the Development Bank’s research collaboration, Economic Intelligence Wales. The other partners to the collaboration are Cardiff Business School, Bangor Business School, the Enterprise Research Centre, and the Office for National Statistics. Economic Intelligence Wales produces quarterly and topical reports on the Welsh economy, with a particular focus on SMEs and SME access to finance issues.

Biography

Sian is Research and Partnership Manager at the Development Bank of Wales and leads on the Development Bank’s research collaboration, Economic Intelligence Wales. The other partners to the collaboration are Cardiff Business School, Bangor Business School, the Enterprise Research Centre, and the Office for National Statistics. Economic Intelligence Wales produces quarterly and topical reports on the Welsh economy, with a particular focus on SMEs and SME access to finance issues. Sian led on the development of the £216 million Wales Business Fund and manages investor relations for Clwyd Pension Fund’s investment into the Wales Management Succession Fund. Sian has previously worked in economic development for KPMG and Cardiff Council, and in the Strategy team at the International Baccalaureate. Sian holds a degree in Economics with German from the University of Nottingham and an MBA from Cardiff University.
