Coventry announced UK City of Culture 2021

Coventry has been named as the UK City of Culture 2021. The city beat four other shortlisted cities to the prestigious title (Paisley, Stoke-on-Trent, Sunderland and Swansea), and will receive a £3m Heritage Lottery Fund grant. The ERC would like to congratulate the team involved in the Coventry bid. Researchers at the Centre recently completed a research report providing evidence on growth trends in the digital creative sectors in Coventry, which provided vital background information for the bid.
