New report on innovation support and business growth published today

Innovation plays an important role in business growth. Public support is available for UK firms as Research Councils and Innovate UK provide grants to support science and innovation. But do these grants actually work? Do they help businesses to innovate and grow? This new report compares the growth of over 10,000 UK firms which received grants from the EPSRC and Innovate UK with a matched group of non-funded firms. The ground-breaking research shows that firms which received grants grew their turnover and employment faster than similar firms which did not receive support.
