Dr Christopher Haley is Head of New Technology & Startup Research at Nesta, the innovation foundation, where leads a number of programmes dedicated to improving business innovation and helping new technologies drive economic growth. He was formerly part of the Secretariat of the European Digital Forum, an initiative dedicated to empowering web entrepreneurs and growing Europe's digital economy, and directed the European Digital City Index project.

Dr Christopher Haley is Head of New Technology & Startup Research at Nesta, the innovation foundation, where leads a number of programmes dedicated to improving business innovation and helping new technologies drive economic growth. He was formerly part of the Secretariat of the European Digital Forum, an initiative dedicated to empowering web entrepreneurs and growing Europe’s digital economy, and directed the European Digital City Index project. He was co-chair of Tech London Advocates Corporate Entrepreneurship group, is a ‘Startup Europe’ Ambassador, and has advisory roles with the Scaleup Institute and Intellectual Property Office. Prior to Nesta, Chris worked in enterprise strategy, technology transfer and early-stage venture capital. He has a first class degree in Natural Sciences and a PhD in History & Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge, and a Diploma in Strategy & Innovation from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
