Partner Event : Growth equals success? All Party Parliamentary Small Business Group Policy Forum
Organised by the Manchester Metropolitan University’s (MMU) Centre for Enterprise with support from the Enterprise Research Centre, this forum, which is part of a Community of Interest, responds to calls for a more practitioner-based perspective on business growth. The event will focus on research-based learning to inform policy.
A research team from the Centre for Enterprise at MMU will share highlights from recent research with business leaders in the North West of England.
A panel including business leaders will talk about their own experiences and respond to questions. All attendees will be encouraged to participate and contribute to the discussion.

Innovation and local growth workshop
Innovative firms are more profitable, more productive and more resilient. Promoting innovation among existing firms and encouraging innovative entrepreneurship is therefore central to driving local growth. This workshop will provide new insights into the geography of innovation across the UK, the strengths and weaknesses of local innovation eco-systems and support mechanisms, and a comparison of local innovation dynamics in the UK and USA. The workshop will be of interest to those involved in the analysis and promotion of local growth and business development.
