Community of Interest on Open Innovation in SMEs:

Advancing Research with Policy and Practice Impact

A one day conference will be held on Friday, 28 November, 2014, 9.30-17.30
Venue: Newcastle University Business School

The conference will act as the impetus for the launch of the ‘Community of Interest (COI) on Open innovation in SMEs’, sponsored by the ERC, led by
Professor Pooran Wynarczyk, Director, Small Enterprise Research Unit (SERU),Newcastle University Business School, in conjunction with a think-tank of
distinguished and internationally renowned scholars and non-academic experts.
COI revolves around the key principles of open innovation as it aims to offer opportunities to: share, exchange and enhance knowledge, research and good
practice; and facilitate networking, collaboration and partnership in order to advance research and knowledge with wider societal impact at global levels.

The conference offers opportunity for selected papers to be presented in the form of a group poster session and will be considered for publication in a book, edited by Pooran Wynarczyk and Steve Roper. Abstract of 300 words by 31 October 2014 to: pooran.wynarczyk@ncl.ac.uk
