The ERC are delighted to invite you to the launch of the UK survey findings from this exciting study. At the event we will share for the first time the headline findings from a survey of 600 SMEs in London, examining how entrepreneurs plan for and deal with adverse events.

Small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs are crucial to the economy. However, very little is known about the ways in which they experience challenges and shocks, especially businesses run by entrepreneurs from under-represented groups. The Enterprise Research Centre (ERC) is leading a landmark new study that is exploring business resilience amongst this community, focusing specifically on women and ethnic minority entrepreneurs. The study, which involves research in five European cities and is supported by the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, is developing insights and practical tools to help SMEs strengthen their resilience in challenging times.

As well as presentation and discussion of the research findings, there will also be time for networking after the event at a drinks reception – all held at the iconic Shard building in central London. We hope you can join us.
