Emma is an assistant professor of sustainable entrepreneurship at the University of Groningen, Campus Fryslân, in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on the spatial and institutional context of conventional and social entrepreneurship. She is also interested in how community-based social enterprises find opportunities and create change in their local communities. Emma’s current research projects include projects on collective social entrepreneurship through community energy initiatives and sustainable entrepreneurship education.
