Professor Ute Stephan is the Chair of Entrepreneurship at Aston University Birmingham (UK), the Director of the Aston Centre for Research into International Entrepreneurship and Business (ACRIEB), and editor-in-chief of Applied Psychology: An International Review.
Ute’s research focuses on the relationships between culture, institutions and entrepreneurship. Other research interests include social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial leadership, and motivation.

Biography

Professor Ute Stephan is the Chair of Entrepreneurship at Aston University Birmingham (UK), the Director of the Aston Centre for Research into International Entrepreneurship and Business (ACRIEB), and editor-in-chief of Applied Psychology: An International Review. Her research explores the relationships between culture, institutions and entrepreneurship, both commercial and social entrepreneurship. Other interests include entrepreneurial motivation and the social engagement of mainstream business. Her work is published in leading management and business journals such as the Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Management Science, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Occupational and Organisational Psychology among others. Ute currently co-leads the EUR 2.5 Mio. European Commission funded SEFORIS project – Social Entrepreneurship as a Force for more Innovative and Inclusive Societies (www.seforis.eu).
