The aim of this report is to provide a detailed map of the breadth and depth of net zero business support available for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in England to enable them to achieve the UK Government target of reaching net zero by 2050. The focus of the project has been on schemes, initiatives, and organisations offering specific or targeted initiatives to support small firms’ net zero transition. General business development and growth programmes have been excluded from data collection.

The report was commissioned by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), a membership organisation offering a wide range of vital business services to SMEs, including advice, financial expertise, support, and a powerful voice heard in government.
